Does the California King Platform Bed require a special type of mattress?
No. The wooden slats support most innerspring California King-size mattresses. For a memory foam mattress, you will need a solid surface to keep it from sinking. If you plan to use a memory foam mattress, you can add a 1/8” thick masonite board or extra slats to your order. These options are available in the Accessories tab above.We also sell our own custom-made California King mattresses. You can order your mattress as an Accessory with your California King Platform Bed.
Will I need a box spring?
Box springs are not necessary on the California King Platform Bed.How do you make the fabric headboard? We use the same aluminum as the bed frame to construct the headboard frame. This frame supports a piece of plywood wrapped in foam. The whole headboard is then covered in the fabric option of your choice. You can easily remove the fabric when you need to wash it.
Are these beds easy to take apart if they need to be moved? Yes. Our beds are simple to disassemble and reassemble. The high-quality materials won’t lose integrity, even after many moves or rebuilds. And because they’re made from lightweight aluminum, they’re easy to transport. Just be sure to hold on to your hardware.
Can you build custom size platform beds?
We can build Platform Beds to any custom dimensions within reason. If the size that you’re looking for isn’t available on our website, you can contact us directly with your request. There is a customization fee of $65, plus $40 per foot.Can I see physical samples of your materials and painted finishes?
